Cool Billet Grills

I was wondering if anyone would know about the billet grill the you do not have to cut the grill that is on the truck already. If anyone knows what I am talking about, if you know of any place on the net where the show this billet grill on a truck I would appreciate it if you provide the adresse. Thanks allot for your time

Thumbs up

I put one in mine it really looks sharp mine
is made by steel horse and they are really
made good, i ordered mine through JC whitney.
on 4 wheel drive models it is easier all you
have to do is take the grille out and grind
off several little plastic tabs! if you have
a 2 wheel drive it is very time consuming on
chrome grilles you have to have a cut off
tool and a steady hand one slip and the chrome will be destroyed! on 4 wheel drive trucks with chrome grille may have to be cut
out like this also i dont know? but if you
have a painted grille color matched to truck
like mine it is a pretty easy job GOOD LUCK!

I have a 99 F150 which uses a slightly different grill. The company is J and J Enterprises and their grills require no cutting or drilling. I had mine installed in less that 15 minutes. http://j-jent.com/pss.htm

Actually, I didn't mean to imply I had a different grill than anyone else. Just different from the 97/98 models. Mine is the color keyed with the "egg crate" style grill.

I also have the Steel Horse Grill and Bumper Insert. The only problem that I have with it is that it hums ( I guess vibrates ) at highway speed.

Red face

k2,
I put one on this weekend. mine is made by stull. It was a serious pain in the butt. took about two and half hours. A jig saw works beast to cut out the center portion of the grill. there is no easy way on a '97 to put on the billet grill. It does, however, look marvelous. bite the billet (ha ha) and do it, you'll like it when done.
