ive redone mine twice in an attempt to make it look nicer. your lucky with that nice flat throttle body cover. i can make mine work really well but man does it loook like crap

edit: pic...

it doesnt look quite this bad now. ive cleaned up those wires and evened out that foam a little, but i think u get the picture lol.

what did you do with the MAF????

I installed the mustang scoop on my 99 too. got it painted too on ebay. Nice knowing your hood won't rust and is the lightest you'll ever get your hands on.

Just got mine painted and put on, when the weather breaks I'll make it functional and straighten it out(she's a tad bit crooked)

Hey Joe(chinook)

Is your hood functional? Mine isn't, I couldn't find a functional one that I liked, so I figured I would try to make mine functional. Of course it would be my luck that NOW they start popping up.How much for the hood, I think I jumped the gun with mine $589 + 150 shipping not painted.

Thank god I know the body shop and he took care of me.

If it is functional, can you take some pics of the underside, so I can try to duplicate it once the DAMN snow melts.

Thanks and nice nighttime pic in your gallery.

Scott

Scottie,
Yes mine is Functional. I got it from www.abcexclusive.com

click on the F150 and then scroll down to see the hood at all angles. I think this will get you better pics than I can. It comes with an adapter to go on the stock airbox. I'm procharged so I dont use it... im going to fabricate a box around the intake that will line up flush with the hood to get true functionality out of it.

I paid the $450 for the hood and ,because I knew the guy at the body shop, got it painted and installed for $400. Then the owner of the shop ame in and gave me yet another discount because I was in Iraq. So total it cost me $800 for the hood and the paint and install.

I took the night pics because I had just finished an install of green LED's inside the scoops. glad you like them.

Hope this helps.

scottie and chinook, nice hoods! does it give much more clearance above the throttle body? if so, about how much?

Thanks!
I didnt notice any difference....if anything I think it lost clearance. I know that my intake for the procharger hits when I close the hood.

Looks like the same pic for EVERY hood...doesn't seem to make sense to me that there's only one path to the airbox?

...hmmmm
