These are some pretty generic 100w 'rally off road' lights I found on eBay. I've seen them selling anywhere from $25 to $40 depending upon the quantities you buy.

I was thinking of this a few years ago and never did it. I made a photoshop pic, and everyone said no way, lol. I guess times change? I just mounted KC's behind my billet grill instead. Hey that reminds me, they stopped working a few weeks ago. I'm going outside and see what happened.,,,,98

Fantastic Mod

Detours_SCrew, sent you an email about doing a set. Look forward to seeing the completed set you make for Jimmy C.

Hi ***** ...

after looking at the billet grill you own .. I'm not sure I would have the tools to fabricate this correctly. i.e. plasma cutter or cutting torch

Sorry .. if you wanted to go back to the honeycomb .. I definitely could help you out

Dave,
Thanks for the quick reply. Happy Thanksgiving by the way. No Problem. I may check with a friend that has a machine shop to see if could cut the billet grill for me. If so may be talking to ya soon.

Awesome work Detours_SCrew. I was thinking the exact same thing. I am just debating if I want to install a bull bar instead. Either way, I am going to paint my grill to match my truck.

If you are leaving your grill black, I would recommend these Hella Black Magic lights for a little more suttle look.

Next mission, to find a lighted blue oval.

Ballpark price is $200. They are good quality lights.

eBay has some listed. Just search for Hella Black Magic

Use google and the Hella part number.

The 2 minutes I spent looking, I saw them from $175 up to $299.

*If you want help finding the cheapest price, feel free to msg me and I will help ya find them

I'm mainly interested in wattage. I was thinking of going with the elcheapo 55watt ebay verses the black magic ones. Eventhough the Black Magic ones look clean.

Ya, that was the reason for the Black Magic lights... so they were pretty much black when not on so the mod looks subtle.. but they are great lights and when you kick them on, they will be noticed and bright light will shine forward!

I have not seen any other black lights when off. If someone does, post them. With hope, they will be cheaper than the Hellas.

As for next mission - Lighted blue oval...
I contacted NorthCoast which was the only company I have seen that sold lighted blue ovals for the grill. They said the 7" ovals have been discontinued and they wont be getting/doing them any more.

If anyone finds lighted Ford grill emblems, please pass them on.

Thanx!
