Guys, word of a warning, when you take out the bottom bolts, watch out That thing will snap! So stay clear, I did, but giving you a heads up! I'm about half way done. (Definately taking my time, and whoever wrote this I'm going to punch them in the face for saying it's easy )

 

So after fighting with it for some time, I called my buddy up at Tires Plus, drove it up there, mind you the leafs weren't connected to the frame, but it drove fine. Got it up there, the fixed my fck up. Paid the guy out of pocket($40), under the table. Truck looks sweet now.

One problem I ran into, the rubber bushings(I think thats what they are) didn't fit all too correctly. Had to bend it out a little to get them to fit into place. Other than that, if I didn't mess up, it would be rated as a 6 on the hard scale(1-10)

Oh yes, I totally forgot to measure it before, I'm sorry. The after mesurements are 33.4 inches.

What exactley was the problem that you had to take it to Tires Plus. Could you just not get the holes to align or what?

Thats fine about the measurements. Maybe I can find someone with the same truck and tire size as yours and measure it. Are your tires 235/70R16's?

One more question, does it look like there is less space between the fender lip and the rear tire than there is between the front tire and finder lip?

My jack stands weren't tall enough to reach my frame, being the genious I am, I stuck them on the rear axel, BIG MISTAKE. It drove fine to Tires Plus(I was really scared) and they got them in. Had a little problem with the rubber end, but all you have to do is bend the little bracket out to get them to fit.

Yeah, I totally forgot about getting the measurements before hand. Yes my tires are 235/27R16. I think my Dad's 03 have 255's so I can't really help.

I havn't checked it this morning, but yesterday it looked fine. I'll let you know later today.

 

All tires measure from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well to 33 3/5 inches now, except for the right rear which measures 34 inches Is that a bad thing?

 

Lmao, could be. Are you sure you have the springs in the same holes?
Our Chevy is like that too, not sure what it is though(new shocks helped it out a little though)

I read a few articles here, it's common among the 98s. Seems like our leaf springs are soft and a full tank of gas doesn't help either.

Joe, not sure what you are measuring with, but none of my many tapes come with 5ths markings. What would the coversion be to say 8ths for that. Unless you are studing to be an engineer, I didnt think measuring in fifths was common.
Anywho, it looks good Joe, now ya need a little bigger rubber to fill those wells better. And looks good without those steps on the side.
So now ya got all this done whats the GF think about it. OOPs sorry, forgot...

Joe, not sure how you do math in Tittiville but, 3/5 = 6/10 = 9/15 = 12/20 = 15/25 and on and on. But at no time does it = 5/8.

25/40 is divisable by 5 = 5/8

24/40 is divisable by 8 = 3/5
