Just installed a Line of Fire (60 Inch) on my 2004 Screw. Looks great and the install was easy, but not uneventfull.

If you look at the bottom of your tailgate, right side, there is a small peg sticking out, when the gate is open, slides into an opening on the truck itself. It looks like it helps support the Tailgate when it is open. When I put my Line of Fire on, it was blocking the hole this peg goes into so when I lowered my Tailgate, it hit the plastic on the Line of Fire.

Took me a few mins with the dremmel, and I notched out the plastic. Did not effect the lights at all, and was pretty simple.

I don't think you will need to do this if you get the 49 inch, but then it wont go fully across the back of the truck.

Just a Heads Up !

Got mine delivered this week and will do the iinstall on Saturday. The Info here is great. Lookng forward to the bright lights. I understand that using led tail and stop lights will make a big difference in how fast someone behind you realizes your on the brakes and will get them stopping in record time and keeping them off your bumper.

HamRadio, I removed my tailgate and mounted my 60" line of fire low on the bed face. The tailgate pin doesn't interfere with the line of fire at this location. I drilled the bed face and line of fire and used 5 stainless screws & washers and mounted the line of fire directly to the bed face. No problems falling off now.
