Question retractable vs foldable tonneau

Santa left a new 03 under my tree. I want to get a tonneau for it. I have narrowed it down to the retractables or the folding ones. looking for pros/cons or complaints from current owners.

Do they rattle?
How's the durablity? I live in AZ

Thanks for the Help

pruav,

Santa was very good to you!

I've got a Retrax retractable tonneau cover installed on my '04.

Pros:
Looks great.
Works great.
Relatively easy to install.
Waterproof.
No noises/rattles.

Cons:
Water collects in the handle/lock mechanism, which has caused it to freeze up. Solution - Retrax sells a cover for the handle/lock ($9.95I think) that I recently ordered.

There are some pices in the "mods/additions" album of my gallery. Good luck making your choice. There are a lot of good products out there.

Pruav,

I searched for covers all over, soft, hard, folding, retractable...
I found a cover from advance cover.

It's lightweight (I can take it off and put it on myself)
It's lockable (secure)
Easy to install (I put mine on in about 1.5 hours)
No loss of storage.
Drillless.

It's black so in the Summer it gets a bit toasty (I live in Southern AZ)

You may want to check out these sites.

advancecover.com (manufacturer)
kcovers.com (dealer)

I purchased mine from a dealer in Scottsdale, AZ

Hope this helps.
