Silverstars

I put a pair of these babies in a few weeks ago and I love 'em! I saw a thread in which someone put them in the fogs - my factory fog lamps are GE 9145s. I can't find this P/N in the Silverstars selection at any of the local stores. Do I have to order them?? -Thanks

They do not currently manufacture a 9145 in the silverstar... to remedy this, you can use a 9005 bulb.

Some have had to cut a small flange off of the bulb in order for it to fit in the housing... if you do have to snip the flange, be sure to put a bead of silicone sealant around the entry point for the bulb to ensure that no moisture will get into the fog housing...

Also, there are very few worries with this modification as there are OOODLES of us running 9005 SS bulbs and I haven't read of a single problem like melting or wiring breakdown.
