Question Removing Sport Decals - question

Hello, I am curious to know that if i remove my sport decals on my 6 month old truck.. will there be a different shade of color where the stickers were? my truck is white. I noticed when i peeled up one of my f150 badges just a little bit.. the color was exactly the same.. anyway.. just curious.. thank you

It should be fine if your truck is only 6 mos. old. I took my Sport decals off when my truck was 5 mos. old and there wasn't any difference in the paint. I would suggest you apply some wax on the area after you remove the decals though.

should be fine, i heard a hairdryer makes it easier, or just set it in the sun awhile.

try removing pin-striping when your vehicle is 5 years old

Cool

HI!... I removed my "SPORT" stickers off my box after they were there for about 2.5 years. I used a heat gun. They came off like nothing. Very easy to do. Where the stickers was, the OXFORD WHITE paint was a little whiter due to no swirl marks from washing. After a few washings and about a month you can't tell anymore.

I took mine off my 02 truck just a month or so ago and you can't tell it was ever there. Used a hair dryer and a credit card.

only reason im removing mine is because im going to be shaving everything on my truck except for the mirrors... and putting the lightning bumper cover and lightning side skirts (if i can find them) on my truck.. along with lightning tails , 3rd brake light, headlights and turnsignals... and then after all that... id like to bag it.. and put some nice rims on it no bigger then 20 and no smaller then 20....

I just took the Lariat logo and all the pinstriping off of my truck. It took me all of 20 minutes with a heat gun.

6 months isnt a problem, my truck was built in March, and I just took the stripes off now--can't tell the difference after a quick rinse.

If you keep the heat gun on too long, the adhesive will separate from the decal.. but just heat that up real quick and roll it up with your fingers. If that doesnt work, take some goo-gone and it will come right off.
