A.R.E. LSII Prices ?

Anyone have a suggestion for a good price location on the ARE LSII for my 2003 Screw ? I have a quote of $699 from a local retailer and found out they will sell to the Ford dealer for $665 (I'm guessing I can split the diff with them directly)

That looks like a great price.
Don;t forget about the $20 coupon you can print off from the ARE website.
www.4are.com

I paid $780 for mine on a supercab styleside, it came with the carpeted underside. (I bought it in NY State)

The price you have seems like a great deal.
Good luck

Don't they come painted to factory specs?

I've seen NUMEROUS ARE trucks going up and down the interstate and none of them are 'primer' colored. They ALL are already painted... now I'm confused.

I thought the paint job would be included in the price.

I paid $680 for mine and got the carpet as a freebie. The shop took the paint code off my Vin# at the time of purchase. They called me up for installatin when it came back from the paint shop. I've noticed that the newer ones have a different latch without the handle like mine has.

Good luck.

Where did you get yours Le Pew? I like the look of the handle assembly more so than the "standard" push and turn version.

I'm counting on the "assumption" that OEM colors are available when you order them. Of course since I'm looking at black, my odds are pretty good.

They come painted from the factory, and this is included in the price.

A.R.E. Price

That sound like a great price. I'm also in Plano and directed to DFW Camper Corral.. They quoted $899 I believe depending on options. I went with the snug top as it's simpler easier to take off and no metal rail bolted on. They do have to drill holes in lip but if you were to remove you can just buy new caps for the top of the bed. They quoted me $775 before options. We'll see for sure as it should be in on Friday.

Email me direct if you want more info

I got mine here locally but It would be a long drive for you!

I like the slick look of the newer handles but you cant put a strap or bungee cord through it to keep the lid from popping open when you haul stuff that sticks out over the tailgate. In that respect the older handle is more functional I guess.

Yeah they match the factory color by the vin nunber so it's a dead on match. I think they all come in black gelcout from the factory but the black color is probably the easiest to match.

Cool

Less than $700 is a great price. Mine was not painted from the factory; it was a dull black color. However, the paint and installation were included in the price I paid (about $750 if I remember correctly).

Haggle with them; I got mine carpeted underneath for free.

By the way, if you are considering some of those tail light covers, buy a set and send them with the lid for painting. Perfect match and no hassle getting them painted.

I bought them from my ARE dealer and he threw the painting in for free...
