Headlights....

I wanna order a heavy duty wiring harness and some silver stars. Are our head lights 9007? Is the 9007 wiring harness what I need also??? I am planning to get everything from www.suvlights.com.

u don't need to change your wiring or harness if you're just going with the silvania silverstars. they don't draw more power so nothing HD is needed. I'm running my silverstars with stock harness just fine

Yep... 9005's are the way to go on fogs!

I echo the sentiments mentioned earlier... no need for a Heavy Duty harness if you're going to Stars... If I'm not mistaken, they actually pull slightly less than the stocks.

What about higher wattage bulbs. Will they effect people. I am planning on getting the harness and the guy is saleing 80 watt/ 100 watt bulbs with them. I think that will be to much wattage for the road. The last thing I wanna do is blind somebody. Is that to much light. Btw these tyc projectors don't seem to put out quit as much light as my old head lights. Any advice would be apprecialted I plan on ordering tomorrow afternoon.

Cool

I have read multiple postings here from folks that had the 80/100 lights and most all said the Silverstars were as good or better...

Is there any place that sales the xenon bulbs for my headlights and foglights. What about target or wal mart. I'd rather buy them around town just in case. I bought the harness from suvlights.com. Hopefully they will ship it tomorrow. If

There are several places you can buy xenon type bulbs including silverstars. Just about any store that sells headlights/bulbs will have them. Silverstars go fro about $18 a piece around here, but I still say the Xenon Farenheits from www.xenonmods.com I mentioned in another post are better, yes higher wattage, but you're buying the HD harness, so for the price of one silverstar you get both of the Xenons shipped... I've had both in a vehicle at the same time, and each with a stock bulb... I could barely tell a difference in the silverstar and stock. I will say it seemed a little brighter, but still very yellow. No way can I see spending $40 for them...
I'm running 100W bulbs in my truck now with no problems... I can see much better at night, but don't get flashed by other drivers.
I will be doing the same thing in my GF's Civic. I can't stand the yellow lights...

Thanks Closer9: I really don't like yellow either. That is what I was worried about ( Getting flashed). I am going to go on and get the 80/100 watt bulbs.

Where Titiusville at. Is it anywhere near Panama City, FL. Take a trip up to Panama City next summer if you like getting flashed. Be sure to buy plenty of beads.

Invalid... you should have gone with the SilverStars...

They are much brighter than stock headlights, draw a little less power, and put out a white light, not the yellowish light.

I never get flashed with them and am very satisfied. By far the best low cost mod I've done. They'll run you about $30-$40.

I haven't purchased yet. Gonna get them friday at a store. If i do the fogs and my head lights in silverstars it will cost like 80 dollars. Alot for some lighting. Plus i got a heavy duty harness on the way. What ever bulbs i get it will definitely be an improvement. Thanks for all the post. I learned alot.
