Know where the shuttle lifts off at? I'm the town next to it.

Might be a stupid question, but can the Silverstars be used with a DRL system?

I don't see why they couldn't...

quick question: My 04 needs 9008 headlights and 9145 fogs. I can't find silverstar replacements. Is there a substitue bulb I could use or does anyone know where I could find these? Thanks.

RP,

The DRL lights are just the stock headlight bulbs. I added DRLs using the Ford parts, ie, relay and resistor block.

Not sure on the 9008s...

If the 9145 are your fogs, the 9005s will work.

Ahh, I see... so basically the regular heads are just pulling a lower wattage and not 'glowing' at their full capacity?

In that case, I'd say that you'd have zero troubles with the Silverstars... but, just to make sure, you might try giving Sylvania customer service a call.

04 Ford F150

I think the new 04 F150 take a new style lamp "H13". These were designed to be used for USA and the European markets.
No Silverstar version yet

You will be fine using Silverstars as daytime running lights. Just using a lower wattage is not doing damage or anything to the bulb.

As for the 9008, it is a brand new bulb first released in the '04 F-150. It is not in any other vehicle as of now. As stated by nhmikel, it is designed to be legal in both the US and Europe so manufacturers don't have to design two lighting systems or sacrifice on one. Who knows when the Silverstar will be out but don't worry it will be available in the future.

I'm running Silverstars on my vette. Love em!

Which bulbs do I need to buy for my 97 Expedition?

'97 Expedition uses 9007 Silverstar or actually jump right up to the Xenarc HID kit.

Installed the silverstars today. Install was much easier than it was on the vette. I may go with the Xenarc's later. That's a bit more than I want to spend at the moment. Cool kit though!
