Talking Check out these flames

Repinstriped my buddy's 97 F150. Got some black pinstripe and did it all by hand. No patterns and no pics to look off of, just free hand. A little wavy in spots, but its the 1st time i've ever done pinstripe flames (draw flames all the time though) so we'll probably redo them in a month or so, but hey, they look pretty damn good to me...and it only cost 3 bucks for the pinstripe! lol

hard to see in the pic, but you can get the idea

Pic of the drivers side. I want to redo them so they are a little thinner and flow a bit better....looks alot like the 02 HD flames though that ford charges 200-250 a side for

so, what do you guys think?

I agree that the 4X4 needs to go. The flames look real good though, nice touch.

Is there a proper way to remove a sticker? I have been planning on removing my Sport stickers, but I dont want to accidently scratch anything.

Removing Stickers

I am one of those people that hates to see a dealer sticker on my new truck, it's always the first thing to go...I use a regular hair blow dryer and a plactic card (like a credit card). Start heating it up and get on one end. Use your finget nail to start picking up the edge. Heat the decal as you pull SLOWLY.....If you need help you can use the card. They will usually come off clean with little or no sticky stuff left on the surface.... you can heat and use the card to scrape off the sticky if needed......a mild cleaner wax will take care of any scratches you might get.....has always worked for me, and I have removed everything from dealer stickers to unwanted tape stripes to complete tail gate logo's.........even on black!!!!!!!!

Looks great but I agree the 4 x 4 sticker breaks up the flames too much and needs to go.

Not too shabby for $3!!

You probably left him a case of glossers to go along with it....

LoL, no way, i didn't give that cheap bastard any glossers. haha!

3 dollars is about his limit on mod money he's so cheap

I agree with all of you's on the 4x4 sticker, but he wants to keep em. I have a chrome bumper sitting on my porch that i offered to give to him for FREE and he turned that down cuz he likes his badly painted white rear bumper. Sprayed right over the gray, no primer and didn't sand down the rust, and he wonders why the paint peels off. LoL! he just sprays overtop where it peels off though

Thanks for all the compliments on the stripes! We'll probably redo them in a month or so...i'm thinking more of a tribal flame this time might look good. for 3 bucks for a 40 foot roll of pinstripe (and it was double stripes so more like 80 feet) can't beat it!
