Lightning head lights& Silverstars lights
I have had the Silverstars in my truck for a while and really love them. I just installed The lightning Head lamps in my truck which look awsome. Now it would appear that the Silverstars have melted the internal cone in the Headlight. Idid not notice if the cones looked that way when first installed but they sure looked like they started to melt on the back side)I have the stock lights back in . Any one have this problem or is it my imagination

I`ve had mine in(Lightning heads) for about a yr and also in the fogs for about 2 mths. I have noticed no melting of either and just went and looked at them. I run them for 2-3 hrs straight every Fri and Sun and had them on for over 6 hrs straight on a recent trip to NY. That would heat them up pretty good in that tiem period alone.
It could be possible the light was bad to start with and you didnt notice like you said.

Very hard to say... I don't think the 9007 bulbs, as a direct replacement, would melt the plastic.
Of course, putting 100watt bulbs in your fogs which are designed for 45 watts sure as heck will... been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.

Thanks for the feed back
I am going to put my silverstars back in when I have time.
I also noticed a beautiful 03 Harley Davidson supercrew at Home depo today and low and behold the back side of the cone in the head lamps looked the same as mine. All is normal I would say
