It was kind of a pain for me. But installation took 20 minutes for me. Rock is right watch how far you pull the liner down. I have had a few people ask me about my light. I like how different it looks. Another question, Rock?, I like how bright the L.E.D.'s are. I was thinking of changing the backups and taillights to L.E.D's. Would this be a problem?

I'm not sure how you are planning on changing the brake/backups to LED but, if you're planning on using those APC bulbs that use like 5 LEDs to do what the regular bulb does, don't do it. Huge waste of $. They don't look good at all...

The only way that you could do it and make it look right would be to somehow modify the light to look like the Infiniti's brake lights... or the cadillac.

I think you should probably leave them alone...

As far as brightness is concerned, they are VERY bright. Much brighter than stock.

Did you guys have to run extra wires for this thing? From the brake light to the front through the headliner? How does it work? I'm still kinda clueless. Thanks.

I know I just answered this via AOL IM but, just in case anyone else is wondering...

The 3rd brake light wiring runs above the headliner and then out the back to the light. The wire, itself, has a rubber gasket inline that mounts behind the light and the wire runs through it to beneath the headliner. At the end of the wire there is a connector that plugs into another cord (where it gets power etc).

Thus, to install, all you have to do is unplug the stock one from beneath the headliner, remove the wire running the the light itself (including the aforementioned gasket) and install the L 3rd in the opposite order.

As far as the headliner is concerned, the plug sits about 2-3 feet back away from the rear glass to my recollection. I had my wife use her smaller arms and reach back underneath the headliner to plug it in. Further, I removed some of the push plugs and the shirt hangers that secure the headliner to the roof so that we would have a little more play up there to maneuver.

Hope that clarifies it a tad more... feel free to ask questions.

I figured that you must be a fairy since you thought that the L 3rd looked like 'rice'... thus, I thought I'd use a 'fairy' smiley for you...
