Question Color matched items

I just recently got my 2000 F150 and I am wanting to color match pretty much everything on it. I was wondering where was the best place to look for front and rear bumpers, door and tailgate handles, and the trim that goes around the rear window. Thanks for your help.

Get some color matched paint made up in spray cans and piant away. Painting some of these items has been discussed many times on this forum. Try searching for it. Welcome to the board.

Dumb question, but I obviously need to remove the item I am going to be painting, right?

Well that's up to you. If the item comes off easily then yes remove it. For most of the items you mentioned it would be easier to tape them off and paint them on the truck. I just did my rear window trim two weeks ago and it only took two hours to tape, sand, paint and clean up. Just take your time and be carefull not to get spray where you don't want it.

here is a good article on painting the tailgate handle:

Thumbs up

That is excellent! Thanks ever so much. Now I have my second fairly cheap mod. All I need is a clear weekend over here and I can knock out all the handles! (from doors to tailgate) A friend of mine had said he didn't think that they could be painted and I would probably need to just buy some color matched ones. Once I figure out how to post some pictures, I will post my original. Thanks again

Now that I have the knowledge, I just need to know if there is anywhere off the net that I can get the paint. Being stationed in England makes it a bit tough to get the things that you need. I am just really anxious to get my truck looking how I want it to look. Thanks for the help!!!
