Thumbs up Custom guage overlay

This is a custom dash overlay I found on Ebay for around $20. You can also find them at www.speedhut.com, but you will pay more. Took an hour to install.

Basically, you're going to have to remove all of the dash pieces around the steering column...

Should take you around an hour to do...

I actually just got the speedhut overlay and was wondering if anyone could point out where the sneaky bolts are and best way of removing the driver side dash parts? Thanks in advance..

EDIT

found this thread with a nice illustration and comments for removing the dash:

in process...............

Half way thru installing mine. I finally have the speedo guages out, and I took the needles off to paint the center caps.

Probably gonna wait until tommorrow to put it together and let the paint dry long enough before I start messing with it.

** anyone notice that the 'fuel door' text is cut off by the overlay? That kinda irks me

RP - you can see it in the 1st post on this thread, the F is cut off...on mine you can't even see the F...I don't know if it's a light, but the text is cut off..

I had one bad mishap while installing mine.....I lost one of the tiny pegs that are at the beginnning/end of of the speedo. It's not noticeable during the day, but at night, a light shines right thru that tiny hole.... now I have to go get a another peg somewhere and tear the dash all apart just to put it back in!!! I also painted those pegs silver like the center caps and they turned out nice, it just took a steady hand not to bleed the paint onto the dash face! IF ONLY I knew they came out!

When I head over to the stealer for that peg, I'll take some pics

EDIT- here's one I took during install:
