Question Removing Turn Signals Lens

Hey All™,
Ok, I've went and spent the money for clear turn signal lenses, and now I can't seem to figure out how in the world to get the old ones off, and the new ones on. Is there a place that will in detail fill me in on how to get the old ones off?? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Glen

Are you talking about your rear tail lamps or the front corner lenses? You need to give a few more details when you want help just to help you out. Year and type of truck are ALWAYS helpful. If you are talking about your rear tail lamps then there should be a few bolts holding them in you need to lower your tailgate and then you should see the bolts unbolt remove taillamps then bulbs reinsert bulbs into new lamps install and re-install bolts. If you are refering to the front corner lenses I believe you need to remove the headlights to get at the bolt that holds the corner lenes in and you should really should refer to your owners manul for all this info becasue it is in there for maintenance reasons such as replaceing a bad bulb so check your manual that is what it's for.

If you're talking about the front ones, then all you have to do is remove the screw shown, and slide the lense straight out toward the front of the truck.

Magnacharger. Installed March 2002. About six thousand miles. Absolutely NO problems. Haven't touched a thing since installed.

Hey All™,
Ooops, I thought about all the needed info after I had logged off, and then we left for a while. Anyway, I have a 1997 Ford F150 ex-cab. I'm wanting to replace the front turn signals, I haven't yet recieved my tail lights as of today. Hoping to get them next week, and not have such a "Mind Bender" over the installation of them. I checked the manual before I even opened the hood, and all it tells is how to change the bulb, not the complete assembly. I see that someone else has also replied, and I'll go try it again. Any extra help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Glen

Hey All™,
Finally got them in. After taking the screw out, they didn't just "Slide" out, I had to pry them out. After figuring that out, it only took me about 10 minutes to change them. Also found out that when you take the old ones out, make sure you also take off the clip and put it on the new ones.<G>

Thanks for all the replies and help,
Glen

PS Now I'm just waiting on my rear tail lights to come in.<G>

Glen,

If you don't like the egg yolk look of that amber bulb in your clear lenses then do google search for "CWB-3157CA", click on the first hit and scroll down until you see the chrome/amber bulbs matching that "CWB-3157CA" product number. Here's how mine turned out....
