New hood scoop on.

Probably should have posted it here originally, instead of in body area.
In either case, the hood scoop is on. Still gotta install the insert, (after cutting/fitting), but it's on there.
Paint even seems to match fairly well.
(a definite plus).....

Sweet!

How did you attach it to the hood??

Did you cut out the opening under the hood too?

That would look sweet on my truck, it's already the right color too!

Nice mod.

It's a 'factory' hood scoop off the new GT mustangs.
Unfortunately, it attaches with 8 studs. You gotta drill, (and then drill some more), thru the reinforcements under the hood.
Depending on where you mount it, (more forward, or rearward).
I opted to move the scoop back more than usual, which put most of the holes for the studs right into the reinforcement areas. A little more ****ing around, but it's attached, nonetheless.
Thanks for the kudos!

Ooops, forgot to mention..............no, I did not cut open the hood underneath, (to make it functional). It's purely for looks..........

A couple more questions:

1. Can they be ordered in a factory color or do they have to be painted?

2. Can you provide a Ford part #?

3. Cost?

Thanks!

According to the parts codes, they can be ordered prepainted, but I ordered mine that way, and it came black, (i.e. unpainted).

The cost, (my cost @ the dealership/employee), was around 85 bucks.

I paid a bud of mine 40 bucks, ( *plus paint), to spray 'er down).

The part number is:
1R3Z 16C630 BAPTM

Enjoy!!!

Thats nice.

Made me pull out that scoop I got from Neal last year. I started working on it and it will not take long at all to get it on the truck. Should have it done by the weekend.
