i have 2 seperate wires running to my 2 4ohm subs. i bought a new mono sub amp. my question is if i hook up both positive and negatives in the single output on the amp will it be 2ohms or do i need to run a single wire to one and off that sub to the other?

Hook both positives together to the amp +, and both negatives together to the amp - to get 2 ohms.
