Amp Install Question

Looking to install an amp under my drivers seat, and I have a few questions.

Where under the seat is the best place to make the amp's ground connection? I originally thought it might be better just to run the ground all the way back to the battery with the power wire (8 awg). A friend told me this is not the best, as the ground may pick up noise. What do you guys think? Is there a convenient bolt or other location under the seat? Isn't there a chance of a ground loop if you just ground to the frame?

I have a 2002 F150 Extended cab FX4. I bought a 10" subbox.net box, 2 10" Infinity Reference subs (1020w), and the JBL GTS180X amp that crutchfield had a deal on (hopefully it's not crap!) 180 Watts x 1 bridged @ 2 ohms. Gonna run the subs in parallel.

I also bought BassBlockers for the door speakers. Where is the best place to put them? What is the best way to get the inside panels off of the doors, without causing it to rattle upon re-installation.

What is the best way to mount the amp to the floor? Is it as simple drilling holes into the floor and using sheet metal screws? I would assume silicone or some other sealant would be a good idea?

What do you guys think about the system? I am going to run it from the factory head unit and use the factory speakers until funds allow further upgrades!

I grounded my amp to the Torx bolt holding the seat to the floor.
I scratched off a little paint and bolted it on and it works fine.

What ohm subs are those Infinity's? If they are 4 ohm subs and you run them in parallel the amp may burn up trying to run them if you are bridging the amp.

I just drilled 4 holes through the carpet and mounted the amp with sheet metal screws. Make sure that no metal parts in the floor are coming in contact with the amp housing when you bolt it down.

Should sound good dude. Infinity makes good speakers.
Just make sure the amp can drive a 2 ohm load in bridged mode if those are 4 ohm subs.

Very true Andrew. That is why silicone stinks so much because of the vinegar-typed ingredient in it to stop mildew from forming on window sills where it is used in their installation. That's what I was told.
