I say take a look at the amps by US Acoustics. They are good quality, have a 3-year warranty and are not expensive.

Look at them here:

Question

WHAT KIND OF AMP ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? SUB AMP? 4 CHANNEL AMP FOR THE MIDS AND HIGHS? I WENT WITH TWO DIFFERENT BRANDS MYSELF, THATS WHY I ASKED.

Only Old Rockford Fosgate amps were great, the new ones are just like any mid priced amps. I haven't had any experience with crossifre though.
If you want to go with a good amp that you can get almost anywhere you should go with MTX, they are solid amps, and underrated, just look at the birth sheets that come with each amp. But if you can get your hands on a Cadence amp, then you are REALLY in business, I would get them from www.shop4sound.com, VERY reliable dealer.

US Acoustics. I know the designer, a guy by the name of Steven Mantz from ZED AUDIO. He's designed a bunch of amps for different companies. I'm putting in an order for a USX1000F amplifier to replace my 500w Rodek but I may have to get a better sub. I don't think my Audiobahn Alum12 will handle what the new amp will dish out.

The US Acoustics amps are all rated conservatively at 12 or 12.9 volts so expect more output in your vehicle. Shop around for the best price. They are the same design quality as Hifonics (which are also from the same designer). These are truly designed and built in the USA. Very few of the other amplifier manufacturers build in the US anymore, most are coming from Taiwan so support your fellow American. Power ratings are all watts rms.

If you want an extremely efficient (read cool-running) amp, I suggest an alpine like the V12 MRD-M500. It'll stay cool while still giving you enough power to rattle your brain. Personally, I swear by Alpine and older Fosgate amps -but everyone here is going to have their opinion on which is best. What I would recommend to you is simple: look around at what everyone says, take notes, and then go to 2 or 3 local shops that have demo rooms and actually listen to these amps (or more if you grow a wild hair) with the kind of subs you want to run and judge for yourself which sounds better.
