So where do you buy amplifiers online?? I'm looking for a JL 500/5.

I've found a few outlets on the web, but I want to make sure I'm not missing the best deal out there. If you have any suggestions, please post them.
Thanks,
Marcus

look on ubid.com
ive really looked around, and its not as big as ebay and you buy from a company. they always sell low, much lower than ive seen anywhere else. keep checking for that amp you want, the auctions are only like a day long.

As already mentioned, I'd try thezeb.com or shop4sound.com

Try www.caraudioexpert.com . I checked out some of the above sites and this one is still cheaper.

I feel like I've just been slapped by a big piece of SPAM!!
Rockford Fosgate amps USED TO BE AWESOME, now they are just ok, they have sold out and are riding on there reputation from when they made grossly underrated amps, now the amps are equal to any other mediocure amp out there.
A brand of amps that is full of features AND hardly warms up at all is Cadence. They aren't expensive, because they are still trying to make a name for themselves, and they are all about quality, built in fans on almost all there amps, subsonic filters on almost all there amps, and all kinds of optional stuff like a remote bass **** that mounts on the dash. You can get these amps at www.shop4sound.com VERY good customer service.
I am going to be picking up one of these amps really soon.

Question superedge7.......

Are the Cadence amps output power close to what they say it is? Do they come with a birth sheet with actual power? I'm liking the prices but the Q3000 is a little under the power I need and the Z8000 is a little too much power.

They bench test at a little higher than there rated output, but nothing insane like 50-100watts more than rated. VERY solid amps. I would go with the Z800 and just have the gains set way down, what is your preout voltage on your deck, if it is under 4 volts you should be ok with just turning the gains down on the amp.

My pre-outs are rated at 4.5 volts but I have the capability to cut or boost this on the HU so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks!
