Question How do you do Sound deadoning?

Ok, got in the New heavier speaker wires. New 500 Watt x 4 Kenwood Amp. New Speakers. New Head unit. Thansk for hte "Premium Sound system" ah, err um, Ford?

Anyway, everyone keeps sayin' "Make sure ya put sound deadoning in the doors..."

Well, I understand the idea and have seen the material. But, where do ya put it? When I opened up the doors, they are coated with the white plastic stuff (which I know performs NO sound deadoning....). Do ya take that off? If so, how does the plastic cover fit back on?

OR, do ya put it on the inside of the door, behind the speakers, past were the window tracks are? Do ya clug it on?

Thanks for the help.

Sound deadning comes in sheets and liquid, sheets is what you want. Seal off the door compleatly(on the inside) if you can do the out side too. spray sound deadner is good for this.It also helps to do the door panal (on the backside) so it will not rattle.
You will notice louder cleaner mid base, and less road noise, a little anyhow.

Sheets are the best for the door behind the door panel. Dynamat (and maybe some of the others) are sticky on one side so it is kinda like putting a sticker on. the white plastic sheet just sticks on (it is a vapor barrier). Carefully peel it off, put the Dynamat on and stick the white sheet back on. The spray on stuff works best on the inside of the door. For an idea of what I mean check out my site at http://www.geocities.com/brokeagin if you get a chance.
