Amplifier Question

Is there anyway that I can extend my speaker and power wires without there being any kind of problem? I have an Expedition (obviously) so I would hate to rerun all of the wires...can I merely extend them??

Are you redoing the system? Is that why you need to? I don't quite understand, but as long as you stay with the same wire size and splice em good, you otta be ok.

maybe I was'nt clear, I have my amps in the firewall of my Expedition right next to the jack kit on the passenger side. I want to move them so that I can fine tune them from time to time, as well as keep them cool. So I want to move them to an amp rack, or at least one of them to a different location, becasue they are piggybacking eachother, and I know that it's not going to stay cool like that...

Replace the wire. Splicing power wire is not a good idea. In a car enviroment with vibration and other things, the wire can come loose and arc. The cost is not much more for the piece of mind you will have.

Talking

yep I do all of my own work. I have been installing just shy of 20 years.
The f150's are not bad at all for installing equipment. I ran my power wire originally down the driver side, but recently moved everything around to the passenger side. Upgraded to 4ga power wire in anticipation of new setup soon.

New setup will consist of 2 Digital Dynamics 3510 10"DVC subs (still working on box design) Memphis Belle amp, Kicker or Boston componets, Audio Control EQS equaliazer, and Nakamichi HU. Hope to have it all done soon.
