Stuck with the Kenwood. Everything is installed, and it sounds awesome! SO much better than stock. I'm very happy with it.

Best Buy had one of these so i picked it up since i hadn't picked out a subwoofer/box combo yet. I hadn't pulled the trigger on the MTX.

Amazon Amazon

It sounds pretty good for 1 ten, but i'm wanting more. I was thinking about this box from subthump.

http://subthump.com/Ford-Sub-Boxes/F...ure-clone.html

Dual 10's. But the mounting depth is only 5". I wanted to put in two 10C104 kickers, but they show a mounting depth of 7 7/16. Andy good suggestions on shallow mount 10" subs i could use? I don't need anything competition wise. I'm really happy with the single 10C104, just want to add a second one with the custom fit box.

ALSO, please make sure you get your self a good amp install kit, at very least true OFC copper wire at a minimum 4 gauge, and some sheilded quality RCAs.

i know im a big newby. id just like to offer some advice i run two 1 ohm stable rockfords to four 8 ohm subs. with them wired in parelell im onlu dropping my impedence to four ohms so that also means im not running my amps at full capacity. ohms are a very big deal. if u have a two ohm stable amp and u want to be able to use it for your front channel u need two 4 ohm aingle voice coils or two 8 ohm dual voice coils. makes a load of diffrence. as said becore i know im a newby just offering advice.

Hercules i think i'm understanding what you're saying. The single 4 OHM 10" i have is pretty satisfying, but of course i want a little more. Not alot, just a little..

its a 5 channel amp, and the sub channel (single channel) goes as follows.
- is CEA-2006 Standard rated at 4 OHMS 300 watts.
- it is NON CEA-2006 Standard rated for 2OHMS at 500 watts

that being said. I want 2 plain kicker comp 10's. which i've picked out a box as well. If i get two 4ohm kickers, i assume the amp will run a 2ohm load? and if i get two 8 ohm kickers, my amp will run a lesser 4 ohm load, but will have less overall power to the channel? I don't really know the pro's and cons of 4ohm vs 8 ohm. i was about to pull the trigger on the 4ohm units, but not sure if i would overwhelm my amp/shorten the life of it.

any advise?

Also, the rest of the system sounds amazing!!! freaking amazing, and i'm sooo happy with my setup. complete transition from stock, and not to painfull in the wallet either.

Hercules I was speaking to speaker level not sub level for the Ohm Load.

TowerOfPower yes that amp will work fine, it is only 2 ohms stable so get 2 of the Kicker Comp 10s with Single 4 Ohm Voice Coils and wire it to a 2 ohm load and it will be all good. A sealed box around 2.5 cubic feet and your good, ported would be better but its gonna get alot bigger. I have heard those subs in a sealed box and they go quite well.

TowerOfPower heres what I mean about wiring the subs

if they were 8Ohm subs the load would be 4Ohms and a lower output
