Are Solo Baric any good

I have been wanting to put some Solo Baric Subs in my truck. Are they pretty good. People tell me that they kick *** but I want to be sure. What would be a good amp to use with them? I don't know crap about speakers!!!!!!!!!

Thumbs up

solo barics are VERY good subs, but they are power hungry. don't skimp on a good amp for powering these subs. push them right up to their limit, even a little over.

what would be the best amp to use the my solo baric. I am going to get 4 10" 's for behind the seat in my Lightning. Also is there enough air space to get 4 10's? I really don't know the first thing about subs and amps and stuff.

4- 10's would be pushing it I think. though the solos are designed for small enclosures, you would be at the bottom end of what kicker recommends for air space. 3-10's would be better. also i would use the dual 4ohm voice coil and an amp that can handle a 1ohm load (kicker, U.S.Amps, Cadance). Solos aren't cheap (300 from crutchfield). I would honestly go with JL's over Kicker but thats just mo

I attempted to put 2 s10L7's behind the rear seat of my supercrew and could not get enough depth. I think the mounting depth is about 6 1/4 ". I went with JL's. But if you are looking for good sub amps I use Directed the 1100d. It is a class d amp with a dynamic power rating of 1400 watts and it has a remote level control.

Thumbs up Solo Baric's

I have 3 12" Solo Baric subs and 2 Kicker amps (Z1000 & Z600) built into the cargo area of my Expedition. I must tell you that you can't go wrong with that sub and amp combination. It will cost you some $$ to really utilize all that they both can offer.

Cool

Kicker subs are really power hungry but the return when done right is absolutely awesome. Check out the precision power amps as well. I wanted to go with the Kicker amp but the height of them didn't work with my set-up. I had to go to the precision power and I was pleasantly surprised with the response of this amp.

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'
