Amp/sub pop?

What can be done to stop the loud pop coming from my subs when I turn the truck off?

I agree, additional info will help people troubleshoot. I had a turn-off pop issue I resolved with this Navone Engineering Trigger. Wait and try other's free suggestions before going this route. Usually these can be resolved with the correct gain settings on the amp(s).

In my case the auto sensing trigger on my Maxxsonics MX=1 LOC took too long and was way too sensitive. Also, the LOC would power up everytime I turned my alarm on and the turn-off thump would set it off. The Navone Engineering trigger fixed my problems and installed in 5 minutes. The Navone trigger power on/off my amps and I don't run a trigger wire from my LOC to the amps.

Soon I'll be replacing my MX-1 and one of my amps with a JBL MS-8. Other than the turn-off thump issue the MX-1 works pretty good. The problem is actually the fact that the sub outputs on the premium and NAV systems is low-level while everything else is high-level. I know I could have just wired some RCAs into the low-level output to the sub amp.

Good luck, hopefully it's something simple.

Back in the day the cheaper amps would do that. We solved it by installing a balast resistor on the remote turn on to ground. I have no idea if this helps but thought I would throw that out there.

Thanks for the respones. I have an older Avionixx 440.2 amp powered from my truck battery hooked up to 2 older model RE8 subs. I assume that the amp is not a digital amp. I have a Pac-Audio FRD24 hooked up from my stock head unit to my 4 channel amp and the the RCA's are slip and ran to my Avionixx amp for the subs. The popping is only coming from my sub box and not the 4 door speakers. Thanks
