Help! Daisy Chaining Amplifiers

Okay so I currently have this amp in my truck Polk PA 1100.5. I am trying to get more output out of my subwoofer channel. This amp can be daisy chained to a Polk PA 600.1. four double the power on the sub channel. They both have the Master/Slave switch (I understand the concept of this and how it works) My question is how do I hook up these amps together or what would be the best method? What parts do I need to buy?

I guess I am confused about the different terms people use such as daisy chaining amps, strapping amps, bridging amps etc.... Polk states that their amps can be daisy chained together.

Why not check the manuals? I am not sure you can do it with the 1100.5. I think you can only combine their monoblocks.
If you do not have the manuals try Polkaudio.com.

I actually did check the manuals and that didn't seem to get me anywhere. I looked up the Polk PA 1100.5 on a few different websites and it says it can be daisy chained to the Polk PA 600.1 I am really just trying to figure out how to wire these amps together and if there are any cons of daisy chaining amps.

I don't see the master / slave switch on the 1100.5 on the diagrams like the 600.l has.

Polk Audio Customer Service 800-377-7655 maybe they know something we don't

Bridging is NOT the same as daisy chaining. The 1100.5 cannot be daisy chained but it can be bridged.

Okay the way I figured I could hook the two amps together is by an RCA cable from the pre out of the 1100.5 going to the 600.1 and set the switch on the smaller amp to slave, so that everything would be controlled by the bigger amp. If this is incorrect please let me know as I am far from an audiophile.

The monoblock would not be a slave in that case. It is just your sub amp. It is only a master/slave setup when you combine two monoblocks on one sub. The 1100.5 does not have a master/slave switch. (at least according to the manual)

Just to clear things up for you a little. Daisy chaining the inputs can be done with RCAs on just about any amp. Strapping or combining outputs from multiple amps can only be done safely on amps that support it. Bridging is combining outputs of only one amp to increase power, ie bridging left and right channels of a stereo amp to get a mono output that is the sum of both channels. There is more to the story but I wanted to keep it simple for you.
