Best amp choice for my subs

I will be running two daytona HO 10" subs in a sealed Atrend box.

Specifications: * Power handling: 600 watts RMS/1000 watts max * VCdia: 2-1/2" * Le: 1.90 mH * Impedance: 4 ohms * Re: 3.4 ohms * Frequency range: 24 - 600 Hz * Fs: 30 Hz * Magnet weight: 100 oz. * SPL: 87 dB 2.83 V/1m, 84 dB 1W/1m * Vas: .80 cu. ft. * Qms: 4.48 * Qes: .40 * Qts: .37 * Xmax: 12.3mm * Dimensions: A: 10-1/2", B: 9-1/4", C: 5".

I have no clue on what all that means! I don't want to break the bank either. If someone could give me a few options and how to wire them, (parallel or whatever), to get the most bass.

I would also want to utilize a bass controller.

Thanks in advance!

One question would be is there a size limitation based upon where you are planning to mount it. Under the seat or on the back wall?

You can get more by going used. There are a couple car audio forums with classified sections that you can pick up some really good deals.

Wiring depends on whether the subs or single or dual voice coil. I personally would be looking at 1200RMS at whatever ohm load they will be at.

If single voice coil then if wired in parallel they will be at 2ohm.
If dual voice coil then wired in parallel they will be 1ohm.

If I at 2ohm here is an amp that would get the job done. Has remote gain that is mounted up front.

For 1ohm then here is a Sundown that would work well also.

Here are two sites I use to look look at mainstreams equipement.

They are single voice coil subs and are 4ohm. what does that mean to me?

With two 4ohm single voice coil subs I would wire them to 2ohm per the wiring link.

I would recommend an amp that does around 1200 at 2ohm.

That Cadence would fit the bill and is a really good price. There are other amps that are better but when it comes to mono sub amps what you are really looking for is one that does rated power and can handle the ohm load you are presenting to it.

One thing about a lot of modern mono amps and their wiring. Most have two sets of speaker outputs even though they are mono. The two speaker outputs are internally wired parallel. This makes installation a break. Just wire each of those Dayton subs single + and - inputs to an set of speaker outputs on the amp. Just as if each speaker was on it's own channel.

How would this amp do for the price?

I would stay far away from Boss, Lanzar, Crunch and some of the lower end amps. They have a tendency to overrate the power and reliability can be a factor.

Here is a MB Quart that would also work well. It has positive reviews from others.

Here is a used option that I would also consider. Some will hate on Kicker but their mono amps are solid and do more than rated power.

Thanks Langlowe! I actually found a Cadence ZRS-C65 2400 WATT CLASS D MONO for 215 on ebay. Could I run the one daytona I have on that until I get another one later?
