best amp?

I am looking for a new amp. I currently am running two 10" kaption audio competition subs i am looking for an amp that will make them pound like they should. the subs are spl-1000s
Sensitivity (1w/1m)-83.9
Power Handling (RMS/Power)- 600/1200
Impedance- Dual 4ohm
Voice Coil Diameter(inches)-2.5
Mounting Depth (inches)- 5 5/8
Magnet Weight- 140oz

any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

They can handle up to 1200 watts rms, but not many good amps come in 1200 watts rms. You can either get a good 1000wrms amp and run it as loud as you want or you can step up to a 1500 watt rms amp, but you have to be careful. If you crank the gain all the way up and keep it loud with a 1500 watt amp then their gonna blow.

the problem with two dual 4ohm subs on a single amp is the load the amp is going to see.for example if all voice coils are wired parallel you will get a 1 ohm load,if the voice coils are wired series/parallel the amp will get a 4 ohm load. so you will need to look for a amp that has peak power at a 1 ohm load or a 4ohm load, the amp that I like for your set up is the jl audio hd1200/1 1200w at 1.5-4 ohms JL Audio Amplifier

I'm running an amp that will do 1200 rms at 1ohm, and yes its stable there I've been running it at that for about 1 year now and haven't had any problems. Its the hifonics brutus bxi 1210d.

Clamping shows I have the capability of running almost 1100rms at 1ohm even though I have it turned down to around 850. Sundown SAZ-1000D.

You could pick up a SAZ-1200 for pretty cheap used. They have been clamped at almost 1500 at 1ohm.

Lots of choices at 1ohm but the amp has to be quality and rated for 1ohm.

There are waaay too many things to take into consideration before you simply "get a good 1000w amp and run it as loud as you want, or get a 1500w amp and being careful" - The rule of thumb is get MORE power than you need and then gain down to fit the application. You will be running a much more efficient set up that will help a number of things.

Just because you have an amp that is "rated" at a certain power level, there are other things to figure into this. What voltage is the amp rated at? 14.4v? Will your charging system deliver that constantly, or more along the lines of 13.x volts? Is your wiring upgraded? Will it handle the amount of current (amps) the amplifiers require?

Peak power does not change with the impedance - It will stay the same regardless of whether its turned up all the way or not.

JL Audio does not recommend running these $1000 amps lower than 1.5ohms - Running that amp @ 4ohms will be sacrificing output - Regardless of what JL says the R.I.P.S system does. Get a good solid amp that is 1ohm stable that costs a lot less than the grand JL is hoping to get for that thing.

Lots of good 1ohm stable amps that will run on stock electrical.

7lug has presented two choices that would do the job nicely and not break the bank.
