2011 FX4 Super Cab System install (video inside)
I am changing things up a bit. My Cleansweep crapped out. would no longer turn on. checked all fuses and wiring. annoyed. I am returning it.
I have an Audiocontrol LC6i on order....hopefully this thing is better.

I just got a 2011 FX2 crew cab and your video has given me a lot of ideas -- thanks for taking the time to post this.
My truck came with SYNC, no NAV and factory Sony audio. The Sony audio is just awful; I am going to start by adding a Audiocontrol LC6i line interface and a 600W Alpine PDX-5 on the back cabin wall as you did. Also replacing the door speakers front/back with Alpine SPR-60C front components and SPR-60 coax in the rear. From there, I will replace the Sony sub under the back seat then make a decision about whether I want to replace the factory HU with a double DIN Alpine unit with full NAV and SYNC integration (and retain steering wheel controls). I do have my doubts about whether I am going to be able to get sufficiently good sound via speaker outputs into the LC61 since it is coming from the factory HU via the factory amps and the EQ is probably all messed up, optimized for factory speakers (horrible, harsh upper mids). But, take an incremental approach and see how it develops
I would like to know -- how did you remove the back seat uprights and is the back cabin wall fully double paned sheet metal and safe to drill in or just in specific locations. And is that 3/4 particle board you used as a mounting surface?

Once you have the all three headrests off. there are two clips behind the seat. you have to fish you hand in behind, (its hard if you have big hands).
in my first video i show where clips are. there is one on either side of the seat. I found that if i press down on the top of the seat, i can release the clip easier to pull up and out. you have to do one side at a time. but you gotta make sure that when you get one side out, it stays out while you try to pull the other side out. Ive had it happen where i get one side out and then try the other side and the first side falls back into place and locks again...pain in the but.
at first it was a pain in the *** to pull the seat out cuz you cant see what you are doing, but after taking the seat in and out about 10 times....you get pretty good at it haha.
i used 1/2" mdf board for the racks. and unfortunately the back panel is not all double paneled. But there is nothing important on the other side. I have been meaning to pull my bed off so i can caulk the screws coming threw...but i haven't had a chance to do that. yet.
I think you will be suprised with the LC6i.
As to the amp rack any wood panel will work. I personally used 1/2 MDF. You don't want to thick and 3/4 might be a little overkill.
Regarding mounting to the back wall there is a double wall support beam, 13.5 inches up from the bottom, that is 2.5 inches tall. It is a perfect place to mount an amp rack.
If you make your amp rack so it sits on the floor behind the seat there is a little indention that the rack will sit in perfectly. Once you get the seat off you will see exactly what I am talking about.

installed it last night and tuned everything to my liking. i am satisfied withthe system, except for one damn thing. (theres always something else)
but im getting a crackle/pop in my speakers when i press the power button on/off on my radio. it never did that with the cleansweep. I checked all my connections....i cant figure it out.
