Unsure on what AMP to push a 10" pioneer shallow sub
Hello, Well I just ordered a 10" sub to install in my supercrew.. it is the Pioneer TS-SW2501S4, I was planning on getting a Pioneer GMD8500M Amp but was told that pioneer's amps are not the greatest. I was than suggested some audiophile amp by the local audio shop.
I just need some advice on what amp I can look into to push that sub. I am also going to be getting the 4300 series pioneer double din tv.
Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with your choice. But, if you want better sound quality, you might be better off getting a bigger amp and be able to turn down the gains on it some. I think for this level of power, shoot for something that has 400W plus output. I have a 600W amp pushing my 450W sub. Pioneer is not what it used to be, but it also hasn't fallen off the wayside either. They still make good stuff imo.

I'm running 2 Pioneer shallow 10" subs. An got a Planet Audio 2600.2 to run them. It's replacing another Planet Audio I had for almost 12 years, that just went south. I had a awesome experience with PA, so I went back. Still can't complain, an didn't break the bank. They rock those 2 subs, an I'm hard on my system.
