I have a 97 f-150 ext cab 4x4 lariat, it has premium sound, I'm trying to find out some info on the factory amp, any known problems,etc. I'm putting in a new sony 2 din HU tomorrow, was wondering if this amp would be ok to use. any help or input would be appreciated thanks, Harley

 

They should be fine to use, just make sure to hook up your amplifer turn on wire to the correct wire. If it does have a problem and sounds bad, you can bypass the amplifier

 

thanks man for input, i used scosche harness for premium sound, i'm assuming its fine, but i still have a power draw on my audio fuse in the PDB, i think it's in the factory amp. thinking of putting it on a switch thanks again.
