Amp Brain Cramp

To start off with, the speakers that I'm trying to run are two Audiobahn Pro Compression 12'' subwoofers. They are 1200w R.M.S. and 2400w peak each. How should I go about amping these up. Should I go dual mono channel, one 2channel, bridge two 2 channel or bridge a 4 channel. All of these compinations have been brought to my knowledge but i personally have no clue whats the best way to do this.

Class D, 2 channel, or mono. Id aim for around 1500w a channel to give yourself a little headroom, if not more. So a 3kw amp is what id aim for. Dont think u will find a 4 channel that will do that, maybe even not a 2 channel. Remember a dual channel mono, is still considered 1 output load. So make sure if its 2 ohm stable, each channel can be 1 ohm, for a total of 2 ohms.

Be ready to do some electrical upgrades.

id run 2 amps for that setup.

like pork said, a new alt/bat and a big 3 should be on your list as well.

I highly doubt those Audiblings can handle anywhere near a real 1200 watts continuous each. I would just get a nice 800-1k watt amp or so. It will be plenty for those, and you wont have to redo your electrical system.

Edit: Just looked up that sub: 96dB sensitivity rating LOL. Definitely dont put 2400 watts on those...
