Smoke and Sparks

My subs havnt been working for a while now so I finally got around to checking fuses, all four fuses on the AMP and the the big 80 Amp fuse near the battery were blown....I still had sound coming from all speakers but the subs. So i replaced all the fuses and when I turned the truck back on I heard four cracks and then a plume of smoke and sparks came from the amp. I immediatly cut all the wires and got the amp from under the seat. But now I have no speakers working at all. I was under the impression that the problem amp was just for the subs and the amp under my driver seat ran the rest of the speakers. Since one amp is removed is the circuit not complete or something? What wires would I have to connect in order to just run the speakers untill I can get a new amp for the subs. As long as I have my normal speakers I will be happy, I listen to mostly country anyhow so I dont need the bass too much.

Thanks

I immediatly cut all the wires
ok so if you cut all the wires id start to reattach them. just do not reconnect the power wire for the problem amp.

Thanks guys, I figured out a work around, my rca's run from the head unit to the blown amp which just runs the subs and then put from that amp to the other amp which runs everything else, so I just plugged the rca's back in without turning the blown amp on and the second amp works again, no bass but at least I have my music back. Ill probably just run my subs to the working amp as well and just keep them very low since I don't want or need a lot of bass anyhow.

Appreciate the responses guys.
