Tsunami, OK?
Tsunami, OK?
I'm looking at this Tsunami dual 4g amp kit with 16 g speaker wire and 1.2 FARAD. $114. Is the FARAD necessary? Will have ARC 370W and ARC 600W amps and all ID speakers.
Also looking at a Kicker 4g dual amp kit. Need somebody to recommend RCA's and speaker wire.
I'm looking for the best bang for the buck without loosing SQ. Would like to stay between $100 and $150 on wires, of course the less is better for me.

Best buy has a RF dual 4g amp kit for around $130, everything included wires, rca's, distribution blocks, ect., except Farad. The RF kits looks like the best deal for my situation. Please advise!
I bought that 1.2 Farad 4g Tsunami kit on eBay. Looked like a pretty good value to me and includes everything you need (speaker wire, power, ground, distribution blocks, cap etc.). I will also be running ARC amps 4150 and a 600.1. With only a 110 amp alternator on my truck, I considered the cap a good idea since I've seen a few threads about dimming headlights.
Streetwires and Monster Cable make great wires. I have all Monster in my truck but I hear SW are better. I definatly recommend a cap. I used to have a foose arc amp and it was only like 300w and I had it pushing two kicker comp 10s with it turned down and it would hurt my ears. Way better than the 1200w kenwood I have now.
That kit only comes with the ground distribution block (un-fused) You'll want a fused one for your power wires, I think our RF one is 20 or 30 bucks.

Kicker PKD1 off ebay is by far the best deal on an amp wiring kit. The wire is high quality and is super flexible.
also remember u want WIRE not a insulation covered hardmetal
caps are used to maintain voltage levels in a car for ONLY the quick bass hits.
the problem with this is your entire electrical system must be able to support the stereo system..
that right there is rarely common for people who want caps because they are trying to find alternatives to buying a new alternator.
The alternator must be able to supply the entire car and stereo setup.
It is then where a cap can help

there is only one thing that they can do and nobody, unless got money to blow for no noticeable performance gain, will benefit from.

I'm just pointing out that I wouldn't say "people should never use them and they are totally pointless" because they are quite useful in certain situations.
