Punch 40x2 vs Punch 150a2 ?

Anyone have any opinions on these amps? I have the opportunity to buy either (obviously used) for the same money. I have a 2009 F150 with the bone stock stereo an am looking to put a 2 channel amp on it. I will upgrade the front door speakers to something like Polk DB571 or Pioneer Premiers 6x8's (coaxial). I will not be installing a sub, I need the room and I have a 6 month old who would not appreciate it.

Anyone have any input on these amps?

Thanks in advance

if they're the old school amps like im thinking, then they both put out the same power. those old punch amps are my favorite ones, i think they'll be plenty of power for door speakers. (under rated 60 rms per speaker)

That's them! Identical to your photo's. Thanks for that.

So is there a preference at all?

I have an old punch 60 in my boat wired to 4 polk db651 to 2ohm load and they pound considering I don't have a sub. Even though I did the install myself my audio knowledge is very low imo. So any help is appreciated.

i really dont know much about the 40x2, but back when i was in high school my friend had that punch 150 pushing 2 10" punch xlc's (300 rms each) and they sounded awesome.

heres both owners manuals if you wanna take a look at em.

1996 - 40x2
1998 - 150a2
