Amp board.

Been doing a lot of searching lately on back wall amp installs with an amp board.

How are you guys adhering/mounting the board to the back wall?

Sorry for the dumb question. :o

Ah, ok. Makes sense. I've never seen back there and all the pics I saw from searching were of the finished product.

If you look close, I have 3 self tapping screw across the top and 3 more as low as I could get them and still hit the raised section on the back.

Is it worth putting dynomat over all that steel back there? Thinking more for road noise than accoustics...but maybe both?

^^^ x2. I'm a little short on money and time right now, so I just got it done. Now that everything is wired, I can go back later and dynamat. The back seat rest removal is easy after you do it the first time. Kinda like sex, I guess.

Hey Sall... Someone posted on this forum somewhere that they covered they're vents and now get a whistling sound inside the cab whenever they turn the heat/AC on high. Did this happen to you?

I've covered mine too. Aside from the slight increase in pressure nothing noticeable has changed.

Yeah, if its on super high you might get a slight whistle. Mine is never higher than 3 bars so its fine. If you run the vents on high a lot, then cover one vent completely and cover half of the other one.

I had to do just that, i had covered the whole back wall and all was fine until it got cold and my fan was running on high, i could actually feel the pressure in my ears when the fan was cranked. I just cut out half the one side and now it is fine. Although when the fan is on and you approach the truck you can sure hear the air rushing out the cabin port.

I used constuction adhesive (pl-500) and glued the MDF to the back wall. Installed an amp and a thunderform without drilling any holes into the truck.
