AMP with a whine

Ok, here is my trouble. OEM head unit with a RE Q 5 and a Boston Acoustic amp. I have installed a sub and have rear speaker (JL AUDIO) running off amp, everything else OEM. the rear speakers have a whine when truck is ON. Even with RCA's pulled, amp has whine. Any ideas?

My amp grounded into the body where one of the stock 09' amp holddown bolts (under rear seat) went thru.

hmm I'd probably move the ground to a seat bolt.

Yeah I'd move the ground.

Is the whine coming from your speakers? Or is the whine coming from the amp itself?

ok, did that and it has reduced the whine to where I can now hear it only when RCA are hooked up. I have the REQ grounded to the metal frame down underneathe the console. It did the same whine when connected to the OEM radio ground. I replaced out rca's and also put in another amp to check and I still got the same results. Where is another good grounding location at the front of the truck?

Just one of those things bro, like the Bermuda triangle. It's there, we know it's there, just don't know why.

I too am still having my problem. I took advice and grounded amp to the frame with same results. I bought PAC-1 grounding device for RCA and that had no advice. The problem is occurring through the back speakers only. Is anybody else running an amp to their rear speakers (on NAV system) and if so, where do your amp speaker wires plug back into the harnass. Could these be some kind of feedback issue????
