Amp mounting

Ok, so I bought a nice enclosed box for one 10 on ebay that fits very nicely under the rear bench seat of my 04 f150 fz4 supercab, however, I have no idead where i can mount the amp! Theres not a lot of room. I was thinking under that passengers seat but theres an ac vent. Any ideas?

I did mount mine under the rear seat... Actually two amps with no problems. I also have the 10" woofer mounted under the seat as you can see. This set will work well and is easy to access...

The top two images show the location of the amps and the bottom shows the custom box that houses the sub woofer...

seats arent bad to remove, the heat is no issue, this is where the amps go... https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...08-my-way.html

My jack is in my tool box with the rest of my tools...

The only advantage to mounting amps behind the rear seats is for the placement of two woofers that take up all the space under the rear seat...

So you're trying to connect an amplifier without speaker-level inputs to a car stereo that doesn't have preamp outputs? It can be done, but you'll need a line output converter to make it happen. My amps do have speaker-level inputs to my head unit and does have preamp outputs therefore I did not have to install a line output converter. Two thoughts on the installation, either under the dash close to the H.U. or as close to amp as possible. I would chose the latter...
