Jackhammer or Thunder?
Jackhammer or Thunder?
My Mtx Thunder TC2002 crapped out on me so I warrantied it and I got a new Mtx Jackhammer JH202. Im running one Kenwood 12". When I had the Thunder I didnt have it bridged like LEFT + & RIGHT - and visa versa but now the Jackhammer is like that and it pounds way harder. Which amp is better overall?

The specs are nearly the same. I really don't think that it matters much. The jackhammer sounds better because you have it bridged, when you didn't have the thunder amp bridged. Basically your sub is seeing more power than it used to.
I didnt have it bridged because Im a newb and didnt know about bridging.
A few things that the Thunder didnt have that the Jackhammer does have are overheating lights and another light that I cant think of what it is now, the Jackhammer also has good venting and i think even a little fan, I might just be immagening the fan
