sorry it took so long to get back to you, i just now saw your question. No I personally did not build the boxes, but had them built for me, and yes the setup allows for full funtionality of both seats and the center console. I'm still debating what to do. I have a couple of 12"ers and may just do two boxes and mount the amp to the back of the cab somehow.
