Kicker 5 Channel Amp is installed
Last Saturaday I had the Amp installed in my 2001 Lightning. I had the sub channel hooked up to (2) JL 8" Microsubs in parallel and a pair of Polk DX7's in the doors. I decided not to run any power to rears, so had that power go to the doors as well.
Firstly, the sound is very impressive (to me)
both quality and volume. Even with the gains on the amp well below half way, the cab gets way too loud and the windshield is going crazy.
Standard with the amp, you get a remote bass adjustment to kill/up some of the power.
Lastly and very importantly, I was able to maintain the stock H.U. and factory changer. In fact, we did not even use any LOC's. The amp has a seperate Line Input for high voltage.
$ 379.00 + $ 75.00 Install = very respectable
amp set up. HIGHLY rec'd
I may still improve the door speakers down the road to some Boston's, Momo's or Diamond's
