Post need about 600-1000watts @2ohms, suggestions?

My project for this month is to have two Audiomobile EVO 10inchers, build a custom box for each to fit under my 4inch lifted bench seat. They are SVC subs, and rated for 300-600 watts, so i'm looking to put 300-500 into each (dont wanna push 'em @600). So I need anywhere from 600-1000 watts total at 2ohms. I'll leave the floor open for suggestions. Thanks!

Thumbs up

I just bought a Lanzar Vibe 1200D. It's rated at 1X750Wrms@2ohms and is a class D amp. I haven't had a chance to install it yet. Still need to build the sub box. Go over to sounddomain.com's board and do a search on it in the amp section. There's a lot of thumbs up for it over there.

I got it pretty cheap at www.national-electronic.com. It's under "Specials" on the car audio page if you're interested.

For the money, I couldn't find anything else with similar specs.

The JBL 1200watt class D is another option. it does 1200watts at both 1 and 2 ohms, so if you ever decide to change setups and run 1 ohm, you're set.

You can also use orion 225 or 250 HCCA. I,ve done this and it has worked out great. The 250 I think will put out around 400 watts. The system I use it on was with 1 10" Lanzar DVC.

i run my Memphis ST1000D at 1100W@1ohm, it will run 600W@2ohms, or you could look into the Memphis ST1500D, not sure exactly how it puts out, but i quess it would be about 800@2ohms or 1600@1ohm.
I love my amp, and have never had any overheating problems. it is really compact also, only like 16 inches long, the silver amp in my signature is the ST1000D. it is a purdy amp too

Cool

Look into USAcoustics. Available thru Crutchfield. Digital 600w@2ohm and also a bigger model 800w@2ohm. They both have remote gain controls and are reasonably priced. Probably be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.

Cool

zbornac,

Did you build your sub box? I'm thinking of doing the same style in my truck. Can you still flip up the center console with the seat all the way back?

Thanks,

Sven
