MOSFET Vs. Separate Amp
#1
Most amps are MOSFET circuits now. the dif between the amp in the pio and a seperate amp is that the pio does not and can not have the capacity of a sep amp. An amp needs capacitors to handle loud demands placed on it. Like when those bass notes hit. thats why you see the lights dim on a deck trying to push too hard

MOSFET Vs. Separate Amp
Well my friends, I'm really liking my sounds system right now, but I know I'm still missing two parts. Speakers, and and amp?
The question is the amp, I just had my Pioneer DEH-P6300 HU installed which has in integated 50-x4way MOSFET amp. first of all, what is MOSFET?
Secondly, would I notice a difference in sound quality if I added another, say 125x4-way amp?
Thanks

What I've done: K&N filter, Magna flow custom exaust (From where cat's join, 3"in, two 2.5" out the rear), Michelin LTX M/S 265/75/16's, MTX Thunderform custom box with two 6000 series 8" subwoofers and Mtx 120 amp.
Plans: Lund hood deflector, superchip, Poweraid, Xenon sport Flares, (custom ram-air idea?)
New: Pioneer DEH-P6300 Head unit (I definately reccomend it!)
