Amp Placement

Hey everyone, long time lurker second time poster here.

I'm upgrading my audio system in my 06 Super Cab. I've settled on everything except for an amp. I'm going to buy the Pioneer 4100, Infinity components in the front 5x7s in the back, a custom build box for a 10 and bluetooth, Ipod for the deck.

Here's my question:

Where the hell am I going to put a 4 or 5 channel amp? Is there room behind the back seat? Under the passenger front seat? Remove the jack placement under the passenger back seat?

HELP...please

BW

I don't know the dimensions of that amp, but you should have room behind the rear seat. I have a 5 channel amp on my rear wall, but it's not as large as some I've seen. It makes for a cleaner install too, IMHO.

Thanks for the reply, how do I find the available space between my rear seat?

Do a search of threads in the amplifier section. There are a lot of pics of installs that will give you a good idea where to mount. Most of these are super crews, but I don't think the supercab is that different. The hardest part is removing the back of the rear seat, but this thread will walk you through it.

Windsor, what amp are you using? I can get the dimensions off the amp and have an idea of available space.

I'm leaning towards a 4 channel and running the front 4 speakers off two of the channels. Since I don't care about fading front to back it should workout okay. Any thoughts?

that's sweet, looks like there's plenty of room. Do you have any problems with them getting over heated back there?

My amp is small compared to some amp pics I've seen on here. It's a Blaupunkt THA-555.
