Speaker amp

A friend of mine gave me an amp that is for speakers and I was wandering that if I went ahead and put it in my truck with what it currently has what kind of improvements would I see? I current have the following: JVC head unit(I forget the model if you need it I can get it) 4 Polk audio speakers, and a 10 inch comp kicker sub with a I think it s 1000 watt baja amp.

also a side question for all you DIYers did you crimp or solder your connections for the receiver.

I use crimp caps for decks every day and have never had a problem.

1000 watt Baja amp? Flea market special?

Baja.... Havent seen one of those in forever....

Honestly, it would be best to leave that off. Those amps are renowned for messy, unclean and distorted signals. I would save the $ until you can pick up something a bit more worthwhile.
