power question

Okay so I have a question about running 2 amps.

Would this be a big strain on the truck? Do I need anything like a cap?

One of the amps would be a Kenwood KAC-7204. It's 2-channel and is
RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 170 watts x 2
RMS Power @ 2 Ohms: 250 watts x 2

and the other amp is a 400.4 amp for my door speakers.

Could I get away with not getting anything extra? Or what would I need

Thanks

I ran 2 amps on stock electrical for a bit and it was fine. I'd at least do the big3 upgrade though.

Forget the Cap. Waste of time and $.
4ga. (or bigger) power cable and ground and upgrade the Big 3.

Sorry for being dumb but what is the big 3 upgrade? I have 2 amps as well and want to install them.

They are:
polk c300.2 = 150Wx2 RMS
alpine MRP-F200 = 40Wx4 RMS

Can I run them both on the battery or do I need to add anything like a distribution block? Thanks for the help.

The big 3 is upgrading the following runs of wire on the stock electrical system:

1) 1/0 fused run between alternator and battery
2) 1/0 alternator ground
3) 1/0 battery ground
4) 1/0 chasis to frame ground (some like to include it)

Does not have to be 1/0 but I believe it was Low that likes to match whatever size power cable your running to the back is the size you should use for the swap.

You can run two wires to the battery, but it would be a lot simpler to run 1/0 back and then split to 4ga with a distribution block for the amps.
