loc vs. speaker level input

loc vs. speaker level input

which is ideal and why? the amp in question is my trusty ppi 2360 that i plan to run my cdt 6.5s off my stock hu.

Man you are going to jeopardize the sound of those nice CDTs with stock source. Replace the HU if you can.

can you elaborate?

i plan on replacing the stock hu soon more than likely after the holidays.

Oh then you are fine.

Stock source sucks, aftermarket HU will provide much better sound with proper pre-amp outputs etc. You wont get the full potential from your speakers using the stock unit.

Use a line out converter until then to get signal to your amplifiers.

I don't believe anyone really answered his question . I prefer using an amps speaker level inputs If a deck doesn't have Low level outputs. It is a direct connection between your deck and amplifier with no signal loss . Loc's do degrade the signal to a certain extent , which most all converters or adapters of any kind do .
