which amp do you recommend?

Im looking at getting a set of alpine x series component speakers. Not quite sure what amp i should get to run these. not looking at going crazy with buying an amp, as i plan to buy another amp to run a 10'' sub under the rearseat sooner or later. Already got a decent headunit, older pioneer 7''indash dvd that works pretty good, but i blew a factory speaker the other day so im only running 3 and it sucks

cheap but gives decent power. Running two of these bridged to power a pair of cdt's in my infiniti fx35.

Amps

JL Audio amps are by far the best amps in the industry. They are a bit pricey but they are well worth it. I used to go the cheaper route and went through pioneer, rockford fozgates, etc. and they all have either got overheated, or just plain crapped out. The money that I spent on all the previous amps was more than what I would have paid for just getting a JL Audio to start with. This amp doesn't even get warm when in use. Trust me, it's an investment you will benefit from. I've had mine for 6 years with not a single problem.

JL amps are not the best in the industry. Dont get me wrong I like mine but they arent worth the dollar spent.

I have had mine for over 4 years and at 75x4@4ohm they are fine. Run cool and is a nice amp. But run the amp anywhere other than that and they get VERY warm.

I just had this amp installed. So far I am very happy with it. I has five channels, so I am powering 4 6x8 Kenwood coaxles and one Kicker 10". It is a big amp so It had to be installed behind the rear seat of my supercab. There is no whine or pops and is loud and clear.

JL amps aren't close to the best. Are they quality amps? Yes. Are they worth their pricetag? No. Are they the best in the industry? Not even close.

You are paying for the nametag.

This depends on so many factors. There are amps out there that are super high quality, and because they cost 1000s people would consider them the *best* (eg. TRU, McIntosh etc). But you can find very high quality amps for much less money that will perform just as well (Arc, Sundown, Massive, USAmps etc).

I'd base it off your budget more than anything.
